This role helps build tenant organizing capacity for the Massachusetts Alliance of HUD Tenants (MAHT), assisting tenants in organizing groups and campaigns at the building level to preserve federally- and state-assisted multifamily housing, including LIHTC properties. Responsibilities include providing training and leadership development to tenants, coordinating door-knocking drives, negotiating with owners and agencies on tenants' behalf, and recruiting and supervising VISTA volunteers and social work interns. The role also involves coordinating civic engagement and voter turnout efforts through the Mass Voter Table/MassVOTE project.
